Hey welcome back to the concert series! The YouTube video for this concert is up on my channel already!
This concert was held at the London Music Hall in London Ontario. It was my first time viewing a concert at this location but I will agree with many others that the London Music Hall is a very lovely and amazing concert venue. It was a open concept space with tables and chairs at the back near the bigger bar. The bathrooms were clean and kept in order which was a huge bonus.
When I left for the show I arrived a good 2 hours early (I know crazy but I wanted to explore) so I had some time to kill before the doors open. So I wandered some of the streets in the area an popped into a few stores. There were quite a few record/music stores which was nice an there was also a comic book/card/geeky store which was really cool and had statues of movie and comic book characters, they had Manga and so much more.
There was one music store that I mentioned in my video that I went into which was a used and new cd/record store. They had a spot where you could sell them your stuff and even a spot you could place/make orders. While I was browsing and killing time I got a bit of a lucky find! I found a GD x TOP (Big Band) album! the one with High High on it!
Eventually after I put my stuff into my car I headed over to the venue doors... or at least what I thought was the front. Spoiler it was the rear entrance and I had to go all the way around the block to find the actual entrance which was a little frustrating.
The Show itself was amazing. There was a total of 4 bands that played starting at 7pm till almost 11pm (curfew time if I'm correct). Lets start.
KRUELTY.
Kruelty is a death/doom metal band hailing from Japan. They Played a fantastic show! The singer was amazing and the band all played so streamlined. I'm also a sucker for female guitarist so the fact they've got one made me have some heart eyes I wont lie. Unfortunately though they did not have their logo displayed behind them like everyone else, to which the lead singer pointed out by asking where their logo was. (not sure if he was joking or not though).
200 STAB WOUNDS.
another great band. I won't lie I did see a lot of the band members socializing with the crowd before and after their set which was nice! the whole band played phenomenally. The had one guitarist that I thought was like early twenties though.
FULL OF HELL.
When Full of hell first came on I was a little meh about them, I'll admit it. I wasn't into it, I thought they were just a noise band with no actual lyrics. (I was incorrect about this assumption don't worry) but after about 2 songs I actually really liked them, their lead singer has amazing pig squeals and gutturals. The squeals is what's sold me though. there was one person on another dj/turn table off to the side as well as the lead singer doing some live additions (I think) which was cool to see as well.
DYING FETUS.
Dying fetus was great that's a given. they sang amazing and their show was cool. Their lighting and sound guy were a highlight though they were doing stretches' and jamming out to the in-between songs. There was even a DISCO BALL! Dying Fetus definitely know how to put on a show and I'm glad I went and didn't let my break up, ruin my enjoyment or want to continue going to the show (even though the ex was also there).
The drive home was smooth way better than Toronto, there was practically no traffic and I got home in probably less than an hour which was nice!
All in All 10/10 would recommend seeing any of the bands on this line up!
