Welcome back! I am quite behind on all of this YouTube, blog posts etc. and I apologize for that.

SlChld! is the 5th artist/concert in this series! Jhin opened for Slchld and the concert took place at the Velvet underground in Toronto, Ontario July 2nd 2024. (A day after my dads birthday).

Before the show

The drive down was like all the other times unfortunately, but this time I took the whole week off (I was going to go camping with my dad and brother after the show) but before I left I headed to my school to Voice Track my shift for the week I was gone and the weekend.

JHIN

Jhin (https://www.instagram.com/jhinthekid/?hl=en) was the opener for Slchld and was quite a nice addition to the show. He was adorable, he had the shy boy act going on and if I remember correctly he had a group that was there to support him. Him and the group met playing video games (if I remember correctly). Jhin's music was really lovely, we got to hear one of his (at the time) unreleased songs and his other songs were really lovely to listen to. His notes and tone was lovely and enjoyable to the ears.

SLCHLD

I love this guys music and have for a while so to be able to see him live was a blessing. He played many of his well known songs like she likes the winter I prefer spring. he also played the whole of his new album (https://open.spotify.com/album/3DLKpWz0crO9UxlrqaCL8S?si=AQpsYY0ATh-aqREmnEQXEA) APOLOGY. He also had his own band with him all of which he introduced... well he let them introduce themselves but English is not their first language but we all appreciated them and loved them. He did play a few songs twice but I at least didn't care and enjoyed it. BTW the way you say SlChld is Seoul Child (child of seoul, SK essentially) Slchld is a Korean-Canadian born in Korea and lives in BC.

MERCH & "HOME"

Merch was a good price and (I think I took a pic of it) had good choices. There were Tees, Sweaters, cassette tapes, bags, hats and I think key chains. I picked up a Tee and a cassette tape which came to about $85 CAD.

Now my drive home wasn't to home but to Sibbald Point Campground, where I would be camping for the rest of the week. The Drive to Sibbal was not bad at all, the show ended around 10pm I think maybe 10:30 but none the less traffic was pretty much clear, which meant smooth sailing for me, I reached the campground just after 12am I'm pretty sure so I made good time which was nice.

Overall the show was fantastic and lovely. 10/10 would recommend seeing both Jhin and Slchld
